Developing Inner Satisfaction with Yourself and What You Do
You can find a lot of people today who are dissatisfied with themselves and with what they do, and they always look at others and feel bad about themselves. When people compare what they have in their lives with other who have accomplished much, they tend to feel bad about themselves and their situation in life. If you stop looking at others and take time to see what you can do, you will be amazed to realize that you have the power to change things in your life. This can be a difficult task but it is not impossible. If you will simply be determined to work hard to reach goals that you want to attain, then there is a huge possibility that you can attain it. Believing in this ability and working your way slowly to attain to your desires will make you see progress in your life. If you monitor your progress in these things, it will give you a sense of satisfaction being able to direct your life towards your ultimate goals. Determination and the right mindset can bring you there.
You are the only person who knows what you want deep within you. Don’t get easily discouraged by people who can’t seem to say the right things or the right counsel for you. When you wake up in the morning, ask yourself what you want for today and find opportunities for doing so. There must be a certain career or field that you want to be in; find ways of getting in. Don’t jump to heights immediately. If the job that leads to where you want to be is not so appealing, treat this as a stepping stone and be patient. Look at it as small steps to achieving what you desire.
Planning is very important if you want to have direction in your life and career. Make sure you list down things that you need to do daily. In you to-do list you can have fun activities and more serious activities like estate planning, for example. Perhaps you are thinking that estate plan is not really that important today. You will still have to do this sometime later; there is nothing wrong with doing it now. You cannot under estimate its importance.
In your to-do list make sure that the top items are priority items. You should put every priority task on top places and the other below. You can address the important things first when they are on top of the list. Since top tasks are high priority tasks, you get inner satisfaction accomplishing them. Once accomplished you are relieved of stress. A priority task of looking for a new job should not be postponed.
Having a time for yourself alone will be beneficial since you get to think on things important to your life and how to go about accomplishing them.
